The Not So Short Story Of How Labelled Dead Came To Be.
I am Adam, the frontman for the band in question. I will be narrating the journey which lead to the formation of Labelled Dead.
It all started back in 2014 when we when we all met on a music course at Stourbridge college.
The three of us played together in various performances and quickly became friends.
I asked Jon if he would like to form a band.
Jon said yes.
I acquired a small car which was completely inadequate for the use of a band..
yet it became the designated band vehicle.
We recorded some music
We recorded a fair bit of music.
We thought intensely about the music we had recorded.
Jon ate a drum stick
Myself and Jon moved to Guildford to study at The Academy Of Contemporary Music while Becky studied music in Birmingham.
The house was terrible, full of mold and just a mess but we had fun.
Jon sawed a sofa.
I sold my car and we adopted a trolly as the band vehicle.
We played some music.
We messed about...
I got sick of lugging gear around in a trolly so bought another inconveniently small car.
We played some shows.
We went to some shows.
I had some personal issues and I felt living in a van would help.
So I did that.
This would later become the first practical mode of transport for the band.
Jon moved back to the Black Country and had a go at a solo career playing acoustic Oasis songs in pubs. (He actually joined Nirvana UK and played some epic gigs.)
Even though Becky was not playing bass for us at this time we would all still hang out.
False Advertising kicking ass in Jons living room.
A year of living in my van and I felt like a change so I got my haircut and moved back to the Black Country.
I asked Becky to join the band. Becky said yes.
And that about brings you up to speed so far.
